An update on the decision by Air Academy High School to forfeit its football game Friday night against Lutheran high school. Academy School District 20 says they have concerns about recent reports of racists remarks coming from Lutheran supporters during games against Sand Creek High School and Rampart High School in the last several weeks. The Colorado High School Activities Association was awaiting a report from Lutheran High School on the alleged incidents, and they have also been gathering their own information. Air Academy officials said Wednesday they would not play the game because of a lack of coaches. Air Academy Football Coaches reportedly decided Monday not to coach in the game because of the alleged racists comments from Lutheran supporters.
