Former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, who was found guilty of allowing illegal access to voting equipment, then had her case commuted by Colorado Governor Jared Polis is going to the Supreme Court to have her convictions overturned. They remain on her record even though Polis reduced the severity of the punishment. Her lawyer maintains Peters was just trying to preserve election records and adds he believes she did not receive a fair trial. She was sentenced to 9 years in prison for allowing unauthorized access to voting machines during the 2020 Presidential campaign.
