CANON CITY-Authorities in Canon City say a man is under arrest after the largest and potentially deadliest seizure of illicit drugs the city has seen in the past decade. The investigation began earlier this month. Investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence where a patient overdosed on fentanyl. They found more than 100 grams of heroin, around 2 thousand fentanyl-laced pills, and two firearms. Police say one of the weapons was stolen out of the Springs. Following the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Robert Broman. They found him Tuesday in his car, where more illicit drugs and a weapon were located. Investigators say Broman’s arrest was part of an operation based out of Pueblo County that led to the locations of 15 missing children.
