In KVOR’s wildfire watch the 300 Fire near Woodland Park is now fully contained. It burned around 7 acres near Rampart Range Road since it was noticed last Monday.  It started when a campfire spread to surrounding wilderness. No homes were evacuated and no buildings were threatened.MORE

Sexual assault charges against a cadet candidate at the Air Force Academy’s preparatory school have been dropped.  Jefferson Hobbs was accused of having sex with a woman against her will and kissing another unwilling woman.   Defense attorneys argued that both incidents were consensual.  Hobbs had faced up to 30 years behind bars.MORE

A military service member assigned to the southwest border support mission has died in southern Arizona.  Officials at Peterson Air Force base in Colorado Springs say the service member was found dead Saturday near Nogales.  The soldier wasn’t from a Colorado Springs unit.   The incident is under investigation, but foul play isn’t suspected.MORE

Two people killed in single-vehicle crash in Monument Friday have been identified. 82-year-old Arthur Ode and 78-year-old Joan Ode from Weatherford, Texas both died in the crash.
