Sen. Tim Kaine, after the U.S. attack on the nuclear sites of Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan in Iran Saturday, called on the Senate to vote on whether they are for “this third idiotic Middle East war.”
“The American public is overwhelmingly opposed to the U.S. waging war on Iran,” the Virginia Democrat commented in a post on X. “The Israeli Foreign Minister admitted yesterday that Israeli bombing had set the Iranian nuclear program back ‘at least 2 or 3 years.'”
But it was “horrible judgment” that led President Donald Trump to “recklessly decide to rush and bomb” the sites, said Kaine.
