COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A Colorado Springs man has been convicted of putting a hidden camera in a woman’s bedroom and trying to sexually assault her.
43-year-old Fidel Garcia was found guilty of attempted sexual assault.
The victim found a video camera hidden inside a smoke detector in her apartment bedroom in 2012. Footage of the crime was later recovered from Garcia’s computer.
Garcia was also convicted in a fatal hit and run. He was driving a car that killed 31-year-old Elizabeth Marshall as she crossed Platte Avenue in 2013. He received a seven year prison sentence for that offense.
