COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Nearly a dozen Colorado Springs Fire Department personnel will be heading towards Florida ahead of hurricane Irma.
Eleven staff members, who are part of the Colorado Task Force One, will stage at an Air Force base in Montgomery, Alabama.
Eight of the members were recently in Texas assisting FEMA with the Hurricane Harvey aftermath.
Hurricane Irma is a category-5 storm that is expected to rip through the Caribbean before making landfall in south Florida this weekend.
