COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A Colorado Springs lawmaker is resigning his seat. Republican State Representative Dan Nordberg announced Monday he’s been tapped by the trump administration to fill the top regional post for the small business administration.

Nordberg will take on the SBA’s administrator position that oversees Colorado and five other states.

Nordberg was elected to the legislature in 2012 and is serving his third term representing El Paso County’s House District 14.

His resignation takes effect in January and a GOP vacancy is scheduled to meet later this month to fill the remainder of his term.
