An injured climber could face a hefty fine after falling about 50 feet at Garden of the Gods Thursday.
The male victim did not have the proper gear or the permits necessary when he fell from the Three Graces formation.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Failing to follow the rules while climbing in city parks can result in up to a $500 fine or loss of climbing privileges for a year, or both.
