Human remains were found in southern Colorado on Sunday afternoon.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Las Animas County sheriff’s office after the remains were discovered near an abandoned truck stop along I-25 north of Trinidad.
The coroner is working to identify the remains and determine a cause of death.
