COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Surveillance video, published by the Colorado Springs Independent, shows a Colorado Springs Police officer taking down an 18-year-old woman in 2013.
Police say she was intoxicated and kicked an officer in the groin.
The woman was handcuffed and suffered facial trauma.
The female’s attorney has reportedly filed a notice of claim with the city, usually a precursor to a lawsuit. CSPD can’t comment because the incident is the subject of an internal investigation, and possible litigation.
