
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A 31-year-old man accused of shooting and killing a 14-year-old Desmond Smith on Saturday, says he did it because his nephew thought his cellphone had been stolen.
Desmond and his friends were in Memorial Park when 18-year-old Raymond Rogan Jr. asked the boys if they had his stolen cellphone. The said they didn’t. After Rogan Jr. walked away, six gunshots were fired, killing Smith.
Both 31-year-old Riccardo Kirven and his nephew, Rogan Jr., are being held without bond on investigation of first-degree murder.
