COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Authorities have yet to identify a man and woman involved in a bizarre crash on I-25 in Colorado Springs Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a male had kidnapped a female during a domestic disturbance. He shot himself in the head while driving near I-25 and Circle, wrecking the vehicle.
Both people were taken to a hospital. The man is in critical condition. There’s no word on the severity of the woman’s injuries.
The interstate was backed up for hours as the scene was cleared.
