PUEBLO, CO – Authorities are calling the death of a 77-year-old woman found in a burning home in Pueblo, suspicious.
Emergency crews found the victim as they extinguished a small blaze Wednesday morning.
Friends and family identify her as Susan Hernandez, a retired Army Major. Her husband, Chuck, was a Colonel. He passed away in January. They had seven children. Her sister and daughter tried getting in touch with her on Tuesday. Her daughter drove down from Colorado Springs on Wednesday morning.
More details are expected after an autopsy. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
