COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A Colorado Springs teenager is still fighting for his life after being shot last week.

The 14-year-old boy was shot at an apartment on Chapman Drive, near Fountain and Academy, last Thursday.

Last night, the suspect, 18-year-old Jerry Hernandez, surrendered to police. He’s now jailed for attempted murder.

The victim remains in critical, but stable condition, in a Denver-area hospital.
