UPDATE: 11/06/15 – A man who was fatally shot during a burglary in Colorado Springs Tuesday night has been identified as 54-year-old Robert Carrigan. He was shot at a home on West St. Vrain near Spruce Street on the west side.
Authorities have not said how he may have been linked to the burglary. The name of the homeowner is not being released.
Homicide detectives and the DA’s office continue to investigate.
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was fatally shot during an overnight burglary in Colorado Springs.
It happened on West St. Vrain near Spruce Street, on the west side. It’s unclear if the shooting victim was the burglar or a resident.
Police say there are no safety concerns for the community.
