DENVER, CO – A police officer was injured and a suspect was killed during a shootout in Denver.
It happened while an agency task force was serving an arrest warrant in the Sloan’s Lake area Wednesday afternoon.
The unidentified officer was shot in the leg and is in serious but stable condition. The officer is expected to survive.
The suspect fled in a car when officers closed in, but crashed and became stuck. It was there that shots were fired. The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Phillip Munoz.
