COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Springs Police have arrested two people in connection with a robbery and bizarre attempt at a cover up.
Surveillance video released back in September shows Lee Laurie dropping a jar of gasoline into a Wells Fargo deposit box and lighting it on fire.
Police say it was a cover-up for an “inside job” robbery at a Circle K where his girlfriend, Joy Tomlinson, was the manager. Police say Laurie pretended to rob Tomlinson, and they both tried to cover up the missing deposits.
