COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Springs firefighters battled three blazes Tuesday.

The first broke out at an apartment complex on Half Turn road, near Academy and Carefree. No one was hurt.

In the second blaze, a man suffered burns at an apartment building on South 18th Street, near Cimarron. Eight residents were displaced and are now in the care of the Red Cross.

The last was at a storage facility near Bijou and Academy Tuesday evening. Fourteen storage units were affected. Eight were destroyed. One person was detained at the scene. Witnesses think that one was caused by someone living illegally in one of the units
