COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A Colorado Springs Police supervisor has been arrested for actions while on duty.

Police received a complaint about Sergeant Steven Biscaro, a 23-year CSPD veteran, which stemmed from a traffic accident and disturbance that Biscaro responded to in December near Barnes and Oro Blanco.

While details were not released, Biscaro is charged with assault and felony menacing. He was arrested Wednesday.

He’s on paid administrative leave pending formal charges. Biscaro was assigned as a patrol sergeant in the Stetson Hills division and had received the Medal of Valor in 2014.

Biscaro was also among several officers named in an excessive force lawsuit in 2010, which was later settled.
