WESTMINSTER, CO – A driver is dead and a police officer is injured after a head-on crash overnight in the Denver suburb of Westminster.
It happened at 88th and Federal. Police say an officer was responding to an emergency call when a driver turned in front of the squad car. The two vehicles collided, and a male driving the sedan was killed. The officer was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay.
The intersection will be closed for several hours.
