DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – A couple from Parker died, and a Colorado Springs man was hurt, when a car crossed the median on Highway 83 south of Franktown on Saturday and struck two motorcycles.
The driver, 27-year-old Athina Munoz of Parker, is jailed for drunk driving and vehicular homicide.
58-year-old Brian Lehner, and his passenger, 56-year-old Jaquie Lehner, were thrown from their motorcycle and died. A second bike, driven by 28-year-old Joseph Bartoletti, was also hit. He suffered minor injuries. Munoz was also seriously hurt. None of the riders were wearing helmets.
