DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – A Parker woman, involved in a drunk driving crash that killed a motorcyclist and his passenger, was reading a text message before drifting into oncoming traffic.

27-year-old Athina Munoz had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and a strong smell of alcohol on her breath when she was interviewed by the state patrol.

58-year-old Brian Lehner, of Parker, and his passenger, 56-year-old Jacquie Lehner, were killed in Saturday’s crash near Franktown. A second bike, driven by a 28-year-old Colorado Springs man, was also hit. He suffered minor injuries. Munoz was seriously hurt.

Munoz acknowledged smoking pot and drinking two glasses of wine before the crash. She’s facing vehicular homicide and DUI charges.
