COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Two brothers missing since Saturday were found safe Monday.
Aside from some minor cuts and bruises, 11-year-old Macquire Gergel, and his 17- year-old brother Matthew, were found just south of Mount Herman Road.
The boys left home Saturday afternoon to go off-roading. Authorities pinged one of the brothers’ cellphones and tracked them to a forest service road. Crews found their vehicle stuck in about four feet of snow. The siblings broke into a cabin to sleep Saturday night, and slept outside Sunday night. The boys eventually were able to get cell service and called for help.
