COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Detra Farries will not get a new trial.
The Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that the Colorado Springs woman, convicted of dragging a man behind her vehicle for more than a mile, does not deserve another chance in court.
In 2012, a judge sentenced Farries to 20 years in prison for the death of Allen Rose. Rose was snagged by a tow cable and dragged by Farries’ SUV.
A jury convicted Farries of leaving the scene of a crash, manslaughter and reckless homicide.
