
ARVADA, CO – Hundreds are expected to turn out to honor fallen Park County Sheriff’s Corporal Nate Carrigan today.
A funeral procession will begin at 9 a.m. ,and will proceed from Bailey to Arvada on Highways 285, C-470 and I-70. Some roadways will be impacted during the funeral procession.
Carrigan’s service starts at 11 a.m. at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada and is open to the public.
The Park County community has displayed about 2,500 blue flags along Highway 285 to honor Carrigan. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial contributions to a scholarship fund set up in Carrigan’s name with the Bank of the West.
Carrigan was shot and killed while serving an eviction last month. The shooter was also killed.
