PUEBLO, CO – Pueblo Police Officers were involved in an officer involved shooting Wednesday morning on the 1800 block of E. Routt.
According to police, officers were searching for a man wanted on the Pueblo SAFE Streets most wanted list.
Officers contacted the man in the backyard of the home, the man produced a gun and shot at officers, said police.
The male suspect was transported to a hospital, at last check he’s in critical condition.
The 10th Judicial District, Critical Incident Team (CIT) has been activated and is currently investigating the scene, and some roads in the area will remain closed.
