COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – More than 100 demonstrators gathered in downtown Colorado Springs Thursday afternoon, aiming to ‘end white silence’ when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement.
The rally was one of the more than 500 nationwide that called on white people to stand up and speak out against racial injustices towards black people.
The group, Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ), calls on white Americans to publicly show support for the Black Lives Matter movement in order to end violence against African-Americans.
