EL PASO COUNTY, CO – A male student is hospitalized after he jumped from a second floor balcony at Vista Ridge High School on Black Forest Road Thursday morning.
The boy jumped during a passing period just before 11:00 a.m., while many students were walking underneath.
District officials wouldn’t say how or why the student jumped, or how serious the injuries are.
Counselors are being made available to students and staff upset by the incident.
