COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A domestic violence suspect is due in court this afternoon, after his arrest early Sunday.
Police say 41-year-old Derek Christy assaulted a woman at a home on Buckskin Pass Drive, near Powers and Carefree. The victim is expected to be okay.
When officers arrived, Christy refused to come out of the residence. Hours later, negotiators talked him into giving up without incident.
