MANITOU SPRINGS, CO – Manitou Springs is discussing how to prevent traffic and pedestrian problems on Ruxton Avenue.
One idea is to increase fines for parking violations. A suggestion by the parking authority board would raise the penalty for a first offense from $35 to $70. A third offense would go from $100 to $150.
A decision could be made later this month.
