PUEBLO COUNTY, CO – The Beulah Hill Fire in Pueblo County is now 50% contained.

It broke out Monday. Its cause has not been determined. Eight houses have been destroyed.

Better mapping has revealed the blaze to be a little smaller than first thought, now estimated at 5,225 acres. Wednesday’s cooler weather helped the Rocky Mountain Type Two Incident Team. They have 300 firefighters on the job, backed up with three helicopters and seven water-carrying aircraft.

More cool weather is expected today.
