Two grass fires broke out Monday in eastern El Paso County and Elbert County.
Near Calhan a 40 acre fire was sparked by an overloaded transformer. It burned a shed before firefighters could put it out.
Another fire off County Road 6 in Elbert County spread from grass to a home. CThe Red Cross is helping three people who lost their home.
