
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles will wind their way through northern Colorado Springs and El Paso County today following the funeral for a fallen Cimarron Hills firefighter, Jermaine Frye, who died after being injured on duty.
The 45-minute procession will travel from New Life Church and head south to the Cimarron Hills fire station about 13 miles away.
The procession starts about 90 minutes after an 11 a.m. funeral service at the church. Supporters are encouraged to stand along Peterson Road as the procession rolls by.
Governor John Hickenlooper has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff at public buildings today.
