COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – An undisclosed report shows sulfur dioxide emissions from the Colorado Springs Martin Drake Power Plant allegedly violated federal standards.
The Gazette reports, attorney Leslie Weise viewed a document that showed that the power plant consistently exceeded federal limits on SO2 emissions. Now Weise is asking the court of appeals to call an emergency hearing to release the report by AECOM Technical Services, which was hired by Colorado Springs Utilities in 2013 to help with air-quality assessments.
