COLORADO – The Colorado Department Of Transportation wants to celebrate winners this Super Bowl weekend.
Working with State Patrol and Statewide law agencies, CDOT will conduct a “heat is on” enforcement to keep roads safe from impaired drivers.
The campaign begins Friday and runs thru the early morning hours Monday, February 6th. During last years Super Bowl enforcement, 325 drivers were arrested for drunk driving.
It’s the second “heat is on” period in 2017.
From mid-to-late January, the “winter blitz” enforcement saw 464 arrests, including a state-high 68 from the Colorado Springs Police Department.
