COLORADO – Several car thieves are still on the run, but multiple agencies worked together to make at least one arrest.
A teenage boy is in custody after he was involved in stealing two vehicles from a garage in Monument.
The suspects led Police on a chase down I-25 and the pursuit was ended by Police for the public’s safety.
The chase resumed on South Circle Drive. At some point, the driver of a stolen Jeep rammed a deputies car and kept going.
The driver of the other vehicle drove up the Santa Fe trail, crashed and fled on foot. Air Force Security Service Officers assisted in the search for the suspect.
The one suspect arrested faces charges from numerous agencies.
Police are still looking for the all black Jeep Compass with Colorado Plate WOQ409.
