COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Colorado Springs Police Department no sooner announced the filing of charges against a man who struck his friend crossing a street last month than the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office dismissed them.
El Paso County GOP Chair Trevor Dierdorff, backed over 79-year-old Mel Tolbert while parking outside of the El Paso Club downtown.
Tolbert died a few days later. Dierdorff was charged with careless driving causing death and another misdemeanor at about 1-o’clock yesterday.
By 4pm, it was announced that all charges against Diedorff are dropped.
