BLACK FOREST, CO – A former Black Forest horse owner will spend the next 60 days in jail for animal cruelty.
A judge affirmed the court’s previous ruling on Thrusday for Sherri Brunzell. In May 2015 she was convicted of several charges for starving her horses.
The malnourished and mistreated animals were found in her barn alongside 14 carcasses.
Brunzell will also finish her five year probation that bans her from owning or caring for livestock. She will report for her sentence Thursday.
