COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A man was shot in the leg near the entrance to his apartment complex Wednesday morning, Colorado Springs police said.
The suspect ran away from the 900 block of Chapman Drive in an unknown direction about 11:35 a.m., police said. No suspect description was available.
The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries that aren’t life threatening.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Assault Unit has taken over the investigation.
