EL PASO COUNTY – A man is dead in a traffic crash in southern El Paso county Monday afternoon.
An SUV and a pickup collided on Old Pueblo Road, south of Fountain. The driver of the truck, 52-year-old Jackie Ward of Fountain, was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
The other driver, 20-year-old Adam Sargent of Colorado Springs, suffered minor injuries. His passenger, 35-year-old Weston Knight, was not restrained and suffered serious injuries.
State troopers suspect alcohol was involved.
