COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – 55 Colorado Springs police officers received thousands of dollars’ worth of protective gear last night.
The kits cost around $2,200 dollars each, and were donated by the group “shield 6-1-6”.
Each officer received a ballistic vest, a helmet, a gas mask, and night vision goggles.
The kits were put together by “Shield 6-1-6” and paid for by the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs.
The foundation is working to supply all c-s-p-d officers with tactical gear by next year.
