COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The mother of two Colorado Springs toddlers involved in an accidental shooting is due in court this morning.
30 year old Monica Abeyta is facing child abuse and criminal negligence charges after her 3 year old son shot his 2 year old brother on Saturday at a home on Driftwood Drive.
The toddler is still hospitalized in stable condition, and doctors are optimistic he can make a full recovery.
