COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Police in Thorton announced Sunday morning they arrested a teenager in connection to the death of 10-year-old Kiaya Campbell.
The unidentified 15-year old boy remains behind bars on suspicion of first-degree murder. An amber alert for Campbell was issued Thursday afternoon.
The night before, she and the 15-year old son of her father’s girlfriend were last seen in Thorton when the pair allegedly became separated during a rainstorm.
Her body was found Friday afternoon about two miles where Cambell was last seen.
