Voters will be asked in November whether to spend $10 million dollars to widen I-25 between Monument and Castle Rock.
The Gazette reports, the money would come from Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority, who voted Wednesday to put the question on the ballot.
The funds would go to only the stretch of interstate in El Paso County.
State transportation officials say the entire project could cost up to $570 million.
