An accused child killer is now back in Colorado to face justice

An accused child killer is now back in Colorado to face justice.

Mark Redwine, who was arrested last month in Washington, was booked Monday into the La Plata county jail.

He’s accused of the 2012 murder of his 13 year old son Dylan, of Monument.

The boy had been on a court-ordered visit to his father’s home near Durango when he was reported missing.

His partial remains were later found in a nearby mountainous area.

Investigators found Dylan’s blood in Redwine’s home, and cadaver dogs detected traces of a deceased person in Redwine’s truck.

Mark Redwine is charged with 2nd degree murder and child abuse.
