COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A workshop to discuss future plans for a parcel of land no longer owned by the city is generating criticism from those who attended.
Last night’s meeting at Cheyenne Mountain High School was designed to get input on plans for trails through the Strawberry Hill Open Space, which is now owned by the Broadmoor Resort.
Several people raised objections about the purpose of the meeting, saying the court system hasn’t decided if the land swap between the city and the resort is legal.
The eight-acre parcel is planned to become home to a stable and picnic area.
