A 4-day, nationwide crackdown on illegal aliens wrapped up Thursday.
498 people from 42 countries were rounded up during “Operation Safe City”, including 63 in the Denver-area.
Immigrations officials targeted cities that deny its agents access to jails.
“ICE” considers Denver to be a sanctuary city.
Those who were detained had criminal backgrounds, or had re-entered the United States after being previously deported.
