A man convicted of careless driving after he hit four schoolchildren earlier this year was sentenced on Monday

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A man convicted of careless driving after he hit four schoolchildren earlier this year was sentenced on Monday.

61-year old Douglas Clubb was ordered by an El Paso County judge to serve two years of unsupervised probation, perform 100-hours of community service and pay a 500-dollar fine.

Last week Clubb was found guilty of careless driving charges but was not convicted of the more serious counts of felony child abuse.

Back in January, four kids were hit as they crossed the crosswalk near James Monroe Elementary.

All four of the victims have since recovered.
