COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A young baby is safe after the vehicle she was in was stolen around noontime Monday.
The father left the three-month girl in the backseat of a running truck while he hopped out to go into a store on North Carefree.
The truck was gone by the time he came back out.
The suspect stole the truck and realized there was a child in the back.
The thief then left the baby in a back alley on North Academy. the girl was checked out and is okay.
Police are looking for a grey 2007 Dodge Ram with Colorado license plates.
